What clothing should you pack for a round the world trip?

Many of us know about and packing for them, and those that are preparing for a trip around the world should know they need to be more careful when packing. Remember that everyone is different, but also remember that around the world require light packing, no matter who you are. Keeping only a small amount of clothing on you is the best practice, even though it might be a long holiday, even months.

Walking long distances and travelling around on your feet will be an integral part of you round the world holiday, so be careful when packing. Just pack a few t-shirts and only one or two jumpers, you need to keep light and adding all of this will weigh you down. Two pairs of jeans will do you fine, don’t take any more, maybe a couple of pairs of shorts. Underwear is very important, it won’t be able to get washed everyday so take plenty of it with you. Jeans can last for around a week, and although we don’t wear them that long, they can get dirty and still be OK. Underwear is something that you will want to change everyday, the last thing you need is a sweaty crotch bringing you down, I won’t go into too much detail!

The most important item for me is the Sleeping Bag. Think you are staying in a 3 star hotel in Peru or Thailand, then think again, the bed may not be what you expect. Some places that even have accommodation will be quite cold, this is where you find that one piece of luggage really helps. Luxury holidays this is certainly not, in fact it is quite a messy experience. Some countries require you to where some more “water resistant” clothing, but never fear, as long as you have your umbrella you will be fine. Thankfully an umbrella offers some relief from the weather conditions that you will experience.

Caribbean holidays and Maldives holidays finding these on your round the world trip is very unlikely, but they make great luxury stop overs!
