Las Vegas is filled with luxuries and is famous for its casinos. The surroundings in all the casinos are definitely luxury like, the casinos themselves offer us all the fun we could need. Is there too many of them though… Are they slowly consuming all of Vegas, or have they already?
On Monday a new casino called the Sand’s Bethlehem Casino opened up bringing the count of casinos in Las Vegas to 122. With that in mind, there are around 200,000 slot machines for people to use in Vegas. If you think about it, isn’t that quite a lot of slot machines. There are a huge amount of visitors to Las Vegas every year, somewhere around 36 million. Casinos may be the first thing that spring to mind in Las Vegas, but its not the only reason people go there. People also go to this wondrous place to get married, about 300 Las Vegas weddings are conducted every day.
That’s a lot of gambling and a lot of weddings, the casinos do contribute a large amount of recreational activities. Maybe 120 casinos isn’t actually enough, or just enough. The Bellagio and Caesers Palace are but a couple of Las Vegas most famous and popular casinos. All of these casinos bring the most amount of money into Las Vegas community. People are packing in the Florida Villas idea and moving to the gambling nation.
Now that British Airways have set up a direct flight to Las Vegas from Heathrow I am sure that the visiting rates will be increasing as well. So do we want to stop casino “production” in Las Vegas? No we don’t, it is the capital of gambling, of course they are going to be building more and more casinos. Well there will be a line we will have to draw, 1000 casinos in Vegas might be a few too many, especially seeing as the ones that are already there are so well established. So at this point in time, the casinos currently occupying Las Vegas, provide us with our gambling needs. Las Vegas holidays will be growing from year to year and so will the amount we spend in the casino.
